Another white woman named “Krystal” dies at the hands of her chimping pet.
Not the first, definitely not the last.
A domestic dispute turned deadly Thursday morning after a northwest Georgia man was confronted by deputies and opened fire, according to the GBI.
The man, identified by the agency as 39-year-old Dwight Juliuse Jones, reportedly began shooting at the deputies and a woman when they came to his Gordon County home shortly after midnight. Krystal Lynne Jones, 37, was hit multiple times.
The GBI did not disclose the relationship between the two.
A Gordon County sheriff’s deputy returned fire, striking Dwight Jones at least once and allowing other deputies to remove Krystal Jones from the home, Brian Johnston, the GBI assistant special agent in charge, said in a news release. She died as a result of her injuries.
No deputies were injured, Johnston said.
